JOSE GALVAN
Jose Fernando Galvan Chira, born in Maryland, USA with Peruvian roots, began his musical journey at the age of six, playing Afro-Peruvian music. Deeply inspired by his late grandfather, Pepe Chira—a passionate singer of boleros and valses—Jose developed a love for music from a very young age.
During his elementary and middle school years, he honed his skills on the cajón, a traditional box-shaped percussion instrument from Peru. His introduction to Latin music began at age 11, when his father gifted him his first set of congas and timbales.
In 2012, Jose co-founded and co-owned Orquesta Rumba y Sabor de Los Hermanos Galván, now known as Hermanos Galván & Orquesta. As of 2022, he proudly serves as the group’s musical director, lead singer, and percussionist. He is also an official endorser of Soultone Cymbals, and Tycoon Percussion.
Instruments Jose plays/masters:
Timbales, Congas, Bongos, Minor Percussion, Cajón Peruano, Drum Set

Salsa, Cumbia, Bachata, Merengue, Música Criolla del Perú, Festejo, Bolero, Latin Jazz, Jazz
JORGE LUIS GALVAN
Jorge Luis Galván Chira was born in Lima, Peru in 1991. At the age of two, his family migrated to the United States, where he was raised in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He discovered his passion for music at the age of nine when he joined his school chorus.
Jorge was musically influenced by his late grandfather, Pepe Chira, affectionately known in Peru as “El Gitano del Bolero.” Inspired by his grandfather and driven by a deep love for percussion, Jorge began his musical journey with the cajón peruano and the Afro-Peruvian genre. Thanks to his parents’ dedication to preserving their cultural roots, Jorge remained closely connected to Peruvian traditions despite living far from home.
Over the years, he developed his skills as a percussionist and became actively involved with various Peruvian cultural groups throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. As his musical knowledge and versatility grew, Jorge expanded into other genres, which eventually led him and his brother to form their own band.
In 2012, alongside his father and brother, Jorge co-founded Hermanos Galván & Orquesta. Since then, he and his brother Jose have shared stages with some of the biggest names in the salsa music scene.
Jorge Luis Galvan is an official endorser for Tycoon Percussion.
Paula Romero Torreblanca was born and raised in Arequipa, Peru. At the age of three, she joined her local church choir, where she discovered her passion for singing. A decade later, she began performing with various bands, gaining experience across a wide range of musical genres.
Her greatest inspiration was her late grandmother, whose voice filled every family gathering. Watching her sing ignited Paula’s desire to one day follow in her footsteps and pursue a career in music.
In 2015, Paula migrated to the United States, where she met Jorge Luis and Jose Galván. The three quickly formed a strong musical bond. In 2017, Paula took a brief hiatus from music to start a family. Two years later, Jorge and Jose welcomed her back into the fold, and she has remained active ever since—performing and recording as part of their musical projects.
Genres Paula masters:
Salsa, Cumbia, Merengue, Música Criolla del Perú, Boleros, Baladas, Huayno, Rock
Paula Romero
Juan Carlos Lobatón discovered his love for music and entertainment at an early age. As a child, he was part of Los Burbujitos de Yola Polastri, participating in TV shows, talent contests, and other performance opportunities that helped shape his vibrant stage presence.
He later began his professional journey as a presenter with La Progresiva del Callao. After stepping away from the group, Juan Carlos went on to work at some of the top salsa venues in Peru, where his charisma and one-of-a-kind energy earned him the nickname “Mr. Sabroso.” His magnetic personality quickly captured the hearts of audiences and concertgoers alike.
In 2017, he became the official presenter for Zaperoko: La Resistencia Salsera del Callao, a role he proudly held until 2024, when he migrated to the United States. Incredibly, within his first week in the U.S., Juan Carlos was invited to become the official presenter for Hermanos Galván & Orquesta.
Fun Fact: In 2013, during a visit to Peru, Jorge and Jose Galván witnessed “Mr. Sabroso” in action at Karamba Latin Disco. From that moment on, every time they returned to Peru, they made it a tradition to visit the nightclub—always finding Juan Carlos on stage, presenting the night’s artist or band.
